Monkey bread recipe, a pull apart bread rolled in cinnamon and sugar

Monkey Bread. Funny name right?
I wonder who named it. Well ,the bread being a finger food. We need to pull bread as a Monkey would. That s how the weird name came.
Monkey bread is a sweet Bundt cake made from balls of dough rolled in sugar and cinnamon. This sweet bread is also called pull apart bread. I am a fan of sweet breads. Main part is we don't want to wait for making any dip to serve it .Only need to wait for it to cool down and straight to the mouth .As i said in my previous post. If we start baking bread we will keep on baking more varieties. This monkey bread is a combination of butter ,brown sugar and cinnamon. Once you try it , believe me you will bring your innovation in it .I have tried many varieties of topping in it. This Monkey bread recipe is a fun treat to sneak in anytime. Canned biscuit dough is hugely popular and a quick way to make Monkey bread. But it is really hard to get here in Indian Markets. So I here use the traditional homemade dough for this caramelized bread. A Bundt pan is an exact baking pan for making Monkey bread in its original form, but here I use a 6 inch round pan keeping a steel glass in the middle for getting the real shape.
How to make Monkey Bread:
Warm water-1 cup
Dry yeast-1 tbsp.
Sugar-1 tbsp.
The star ingredients of the bread baking. Mix it well and keep aside for 10 mints for the yeast to process. Once it is ready mix it with melted butter, milk, sugar and flour.
Butter- 2 sticks unsalted butter
Milk-1 cup
Sugar-1/2 cup
Flour-3 cup
Knead the dough and rub oil on it and keep it for rest for at least 1 hour. Once the dough is double the size, make small balls with it. Then comes the flavoring agent the great cinnamon powder and sugar
Sugar- 1 cup
Cinnamon Powder-2 tbsp.
Dip the small ball shaped dough in the sugar cinnamon mix and keep it aside. Now we need to make caramel sauce for topping .This caramel sauce here is really the combination of brown sugar and butter which give the Monkey bread its sticky texture and the incredible taste. Make sure after baking keep the bread only for at least five minutes for cooling or else it will become harder and will stick to the bottom.
Brown Sugar-1 cup
Butter-2 tbsp.
Add the brown sugar and butter in a sauce pan in medium heat .Once it reaches a soft and caramel texture pour it on the greased base of Bundt Pan. If you want you can keep a little aside for topping at the end. Place sugar cinnamon dips dough one by one into the Bundt pan .Don’t stuff the pan with dough it may overflow while in the oven. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and bake it for 30 minutes.
As I mentioned above once it is baked don’t keep it to cool down for long. Maximum of five minutes .Just flip the Bundt pan upside down to a serving plate. Then come the topping part. You can use whatever of your choice for topping. I here use the same brown sugar and butter caramel for topping. So here is the Monkey Bread recipe for you.
